Just curious. I’ve seen AOL will be providing their free messaging program. Will messages sent via AIM be considered SMS messages? I had an AIM program on my Palm a year or so back and I seem to recall paying for the messages under the text message plan I had with Sprint.

First off: Those text message rates are appalling! That aside, a third party designed AIM client would almost surely use data, not the SMS infrastructure.
