AT&T iPhone plans now include official access to Wi-Fi Hotspots
Posted 8 May 2008 @ 10am in News
AT&T is currently offering access to their Wi-Fi hotspots, including several thousand Starbucks locations, for no additional charge on their iPhone rate plans. No information is available as to why this has changed and a check on AT&T’s website for a press release let us empty handed.
We previously reported the early emergence of free wireless internet access for iPhone users at Starbucks and possibly other businesses that offer AT&T Wi-Fi services. In locations where access is available, a specially formatted for iPhone website allows you to enter your 10-digit wireless number to gain access.

Went to a Barnes and Noble book store in Dothan, Al. at a new mall there. they had the AT&T sign in the window. I was able to connect and it worked great. Did not stay to check time limit. Haven’t been to a Starbucks yet.

Hmm, seems like ATT took that down already.

ATT have removed all mention of the free hotspots from their web site. Possibly not all areas of the county have this available yet.
