Automated method for iPhone 1.1.1 jailbreaking/third-party apps coming soon

Jailbreaking and installing third-party applications on iPhones running software/firmware 1.1.1 is still a relatively lengthy process. We’ve now received word, however, that an automated method for jailbreaking and pushing Installer.app to 1.1.1 iPhones — akin to AppTapp for 1.0.2 iPhones — is on the way, and could make its debut as soon as this weekend. If you’re looking for an program that can automate most of the command-line work and complicated parts of jailbreaking an iPhone running firmware 1.1.1, take a look at iDemocracy (http://code.google.com/p/idemocracy).
iDemocracy is a GUI program for WinXP and Vista that will guide you through and automate most of the process of jailbreaking. It also patches the springboard and installs Installer.app, etc, etc.
Soon to support activation and unlocking as well!

hey guys. i need some help,
i was on vacation in new York, and bought the iphone, because i know that you can unlock it so i could use my own sim card.
ok so now i have the iphone and i have not done anything whit it. ive just turned it on and turned it back off.
i have not activatet it or anyting..
is it okay to activate it? or not if i want to unlock/crack it ? or what i just really need what to do know..
one more thing:
at this point in the guide::

# Launch iNdependence (which you downloaded in step #1).
# In the main window, click on the Firmware tab and click the Enter DFU Mode button.
it dosent make any sense cus it says launch independence, and then in the main window, click on the firmware tab and click the enter DFU mode button ?
there is no firmware tab or DFU mode button?
please help whit these things.
