What’s the iPhone buying situation in your area?

We’re gathering reports from readers regarding any availability and store line-up details for tomorrow’s iPhone launch. Here in Portland, Oregon, some malls that house Apple Stores are opening their doors at 7 AM or earlier to allow customer line-up and both Apple Stores and AT&T retail outlets are keeping tight-lipped about availability.

iPhone Terms and Conditions: Return within 3 days for full refund, international text messaging

AT&T has posted iPhone terms and conditions to its support Web site. They are largely similar to the terms for other phones/plans. Salient excerpts:

There are no equipment or monthly service discounts available with the purchase of an iPhone.

AT&T Stores: One iPhone per customer

UPDATE: AT&T is saying one, Apple is saying two. It may be that AT&T outlets are limiting purchase to one-per-customer, while Apple retail outlets will sell each customer two.

Video formats supported by iPhone: H.264 up to 1.5 Mbps and MPEG-4 up to 2.5 Mbps

The iPhone supports the exact same set of video formats as the current 30GB and 80GB iPods, meaning that video exported for use on the iPods should be immediately usable on the iPhone.

The supported formats are:
